Mighty St. Joe’s Alumni Corps
In 2015 Mighty St. Joe’s is celebrating its 25th anniversary and is proud to be recognized as one of the oldest alumni corps in existence. The Corps was formed by members of the famed St. Joseph’s of Batavia Junior Corps and others who wished to again enjoy the activity that meant so much to them in their teenage years. MSJ continues to bring back much of the music the Junior Corps and its contemporaries had made popular during the ‘60s. They include, “South Rampart Street Parade”, “A Patriotic Medley”, “St. Louis Blues”, “Rock-a-Bye Your Baby”, “End of the Rainbow - Broadway Fanfare”, and “America”.
The goals of the organization are to provide members with opportunities to perform and entertain in a non-competitive basis and to try to keep the “old times, good times” that we remember so fondly alive in the drum corps world. While each of our 25 years has brought new challenges, the accomplishments and enjoyment of performing are still there.
With LeRoy, NY, continuing to be the home base site of the corps, our participating members travel from numerous communities in New York State, Pennsylvania and the Province of Ontario, Canada.
